Gibson Austwide started with one truck, a wrench, and a bloke who knew how to use both.

In 2008, Andrew Gibson set out on his own after years behind the wheel — hauling freight across some of the roughest, most remote roads in northern Australia. The conditions were tough, but Andrew was tougher. He fixed his own trucks, ran his own loads, and earned a name for himself by doing exactly what he said he would.

Trust, honesty, reliability, and straight talk — that’s how he worked. And that’s how he built a business.

What began as a one-man operation quickly grew, not because of big talk, but because Andrew kept delivering on time, without fuss, and with the kind of integrity people remembered. Over time, those jobs turned into relationships. And those relationships built the foundation for what Gibson Austwide is today: a national transport solutions company trusted by businesses across Australia.

We might run a larger fleet now, but our values haven’t changed. We’re still hands-on. Still practical. Still focused on the job at hand. Because Gibson Austwide isn’t just built on freight. It’s built on hard work, old-school values, and a promise kept.
